I just wanted to say that.
At first, I thought the math problem would curb comment spam. Whoo-ee-woo, was I wrong.
At the time, I thought Akismet was a pain to apply for or implement. Whoo-ee-woo was I wrong there as well.
After about a month of Akismet usage, it’s practically stopped *all* comment spam (about 1,500 so far), and - rather than spending a majority of time filtering through fake versus real comments - I can concentrate on approving *actual* comments, and shoot, buying new domains.
And for that, I just wanted to say thank you. thank you very much. if I had an address for you, I’d send you a rum cake for Christmas..

A-men to that. After getting Akismet I disabled almost all of my other comment spam tools.
