I think my first was AmericanWebWorks.com, which I turned into a web development service. I still own it and maintain some minimal info on it but I don't do professional web design anymore, at least not for others. I registered several good domains back in 1997 and 98 that I planned to develop into online services eventually, but if I didn't get around to developing the service then I'd let the domain expire, as I had not yet realized the inherent value of domain names. Back in the days when .com domains were free of charge and you could have as many as you wanted. I only went with a .net as they were pretty rare back then and it looked cooler. I registered them back in the days when you had to go thru network solutions. They were stolen from me by the people who own them now, due to network solutions incompetance.
